Job summary

The Beck Group is seeking an experienced in-house attorney to join our legal team and support project teams nationwide. You will review and negotiate contracts across construction and design-build disciplines, while identifying and managing legal and business risks.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll collaborate with construction, architecture, and design-build professionals, with domestic relocation assistance available. A rare opportunity to impact projects from RFP through closeout.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Minimum seven years of practice, including at least three years in construction law or related area.
• Experience in both law firms and in-house settings.
• Licensed to practice law in a U.S. state, with expectation of Texas licensure.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and negotiate construction, architecture, and design-build contracts.
• Review, edit, and negotiate agreements with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and clients.
• Provide legal support to HR, corporate services, and Beck leadership.
• Analyze risk and map out a course forward to mitigate risk and protect Beck’s interests.
• Work with Risk to navigate insurance claims and coverage matters.
