Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is seeking an experienced in-house attorney to lead complex EPC contract work and risk management across national projects. You will draft, review, negotiate, and administer construction agreements, including EPCs and related subcontracts, while guiding business teams on commercial and regulatory matters.

You will collaborate with a cross‑functional legal team across the United States to mitigate risk, advise executives, and develop practical strategies

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with 10–15 years of experience practicing construction law, with a primary focus on EPC transactions.
• Experience leading negotiations of construction contracts or dispute resolution with sophisticated counterparties.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify legal issues and provide practical solutions.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of EPC and related construction contracts.
• Provide strategic guidance on contract interpretation, change orders, claims, and disputes.
• Prepare and present training to non-legal business operators on construction legal issues.
• Manage communications and deadlines, directing paralegal support.
• Serve as trusted legal advisor to business teams and executives on commercial matters.
• Balance risk mitigation with commercial objectives and provide practical recommendations.
• Collaborate with U.S.-based legal team to implement enterprise-wide risk management.
• Partner with project managers, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and leadership to support project execution.
