Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced attorney to join its legal team as lead counsel for the development and operation of autonomous vehicles and robotics solutions for Amazon’s last mile delivery operations. This role requires strategic legal leadership on product development, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to a state bar.
• 5+ years of post-bar legal experience focused on technology and regulatory matters.
• Experience advising senior executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal counsel for autonomous vehicle and robotics initiatives supporting Amazon's last mile operations.
• Advise on federal and state regulatory compliance for autonomous vehicles and robotics.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex technology licenses and commercial agreements.
• Partner with engineering, operations, product, and policy teams on strategic initiatives.
• Develop scalable legal processes to support rapid innovation across jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel on specialized regulatory matters and litigation.
• Advise on AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, IP, and technology licensing for autonomous systems.
• Support risk assessment and mitigation for novel deployments.
• Collaborate with public policy teams on regulatory engagement and advocacy.
