Ladders is seeking a Senior Counsel, AI & Legal Technology to join its leadership team in the information technology space. You will partner across AI, product development, and marketing to steer legal strategy and counsel on evolving regulatory issues while enabling responsible innovation.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership.
• 6+ years of in-house or law firm experience in technology law (AI & legal tech).
• Deep knowledge of AI regulatory frameworks (U.S. & international).
• Experience with software development and open source licensing issues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor for AI, product development, and marketing.
• Monitor and interpret AI law and regulations, providing actionable guidance.
• Develop internal policies and best practices for compliance with emerging laws.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Counsel, AI & Legal Technology to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will serve as a key legal partner across AI, product development, and marketing initiatives, helping the business navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate will provide practical, business-oriented counsel on emerging AI issues while supporting commercialization, vendor relationships, and customer-facing materials. This position also plays an important role in shaping internal policies and best practices that enable innovation with appropriate legal and compliance guardrails.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $160,000 – $190,000 annually

• Serve as the primary legal advisor for AI, product development, and marketing

• Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-lawyers
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership
