Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a Senior Counsel for its Advanced Facilities group in Denver, CO. The role provides complex legal support for large projects across Industrial, Data Center, and Semiconductor sectors, drafting and reviewing prime contracts and subcontracts to minimize risk.

The position requires a Juris Doctor and 8+ years of legal experience, with preference for construction-related expertise. Immunity to conflicts and strong collaboration with project teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree - Juris Doctor required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or other technical field preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal support on routine matters to the region they are assigned.
• Reviews project procurement documents and assists with proposal legal review.
• Prepares draft prime contracts and subcontracts with project team.
• Provides counsel on transactions, programs, policies and procedures.
• Researches and prepares legal opinions and memoranda.
• Interprets laws and regulations to minimize legal risk.
• Assists with management of claims and litigation and gathers evidence.
• Implements litigation hold memoranda.
• Promotes diversity and inclusion in JE Dunn.
