Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its Dallas litigation team, handling a sophisticated docket of third-party insurance defense matters. You will independently manage cases, develop strategy, and engage in motions, depositions, mediations, and trials with direct client interaction and strong firm support.

The role requires 7+ years of civil litigation and a solid Texas bar license, with a hybrid work arrangement and a competitive compensation package including a base salary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong background in third-party insurance defense.
• Experience with general liability, premises liability, construction or related casualty matters.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation docket.
• Trial experience highly valued and required license to practice in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage third-party defense matters from start to resolution.
• Develop case strategy and assess liability, damages, exposure, and settlements.
• Draft and argue motions and appear in court.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Attend mediations and negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate with carriers and other clients.
• Prepare matters for trial and participate in trials.
• Supervise associates, paralegals, and support staff while maintaining client communications.
