Job summary

LHH is partnering with a rapidly growing national real estate company to place an experienced attorney in an in-house role in Sacramento. This position offers hands-on legal work, direct collaboration with executive leadership, and a chance to shape a growing legal department.

You will handle a broad practice spanning litigation, real estate, contracts, employment matters, and business counseling, with significant autonomy and long-term leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Strong background in unlawful detainer, evictions, landlord-tenant disputes, and/or real-estate litigation.
• Experience managing litigation, court appearances, motion practice, and settlement negotiations.
• Ability to work independently and partner effectively with business stakeholders.
• Practical, responsive, and solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters from intake through resolution.
• Manage landlord-tenant, eviction, and real-estate litigation matters.
• Advise business leaders and property operations teams on day-to-day legal issues.
• Oversee and collaborate with outside counsel nationwide.
• Appear in court when necessary.
• Assess legal risk and provide practical business-oriented guidance.
• Help develop internal processes and best practices as the legal function continues to grow.

Compensation
