Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Counsel to support its expanding legal function in a global SaaS environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, this role provides comprehensive legal support across product, privacy, corporate, and employment matters.

The Senior Counsel will draft and negotiate legal agreements, provide input on data privacy and IP, and collaborate with product, security, and commercial teams to enable ongoing innovation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Typically 6+ years of legal experience, including in-house or equivalent client-facing experience.
• Experience advising SaaS companies and foundational knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, and technology transactions.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating legal agreements across commercial, product, privacy and employment matters.
• Provide legal input on data privacy, IP and regulatory compliance matters.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support privacy, security and technology initiatives.

• Zone 2 (LA/Austin/Chicago/etc.): $137,600 - $189,200
• Zone 3 (Other US locations): $129,900 - $178,640
• Includes Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, dental, and mental health benefits.
