Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced litigation attorney in Fresno, CA. You will independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, while managing discovery and complex cases with high exposure.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA approved law school and active CA bar license.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience including discovery, deposition, and trial prep.
• Experience with general liability, construction defect, toxic tort, or complex cases.
• Ability to manage full case handling with minimal supervision.

Job description

• Develop compelling case themes


• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials


• Manage all facets of discovery and trial


• Handle complex, high-exposure litigation, including general liability, construction defect, toxic tort, and class action matters


• Work collaboratively with trial attorneys and team members at all experience levels


• Communicate routinely with clients


• Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients


• Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys


• Mentor junior attorneys


• Deliver exceptional client service

Requirements

• JD from an ABA approved school


• Active California Bar License required


• Must be licensed in your state


• 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation


• Strong experience handling general liability matters such as construction defect, toxic tort, or other complex cases


• Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial


• Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred


• Experience with time management systems


• Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook


• Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision


• Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills


• Professional appearance and demeanor
