The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement prescribed patient treatment plans under the supervision of an OT. The role involves patient education, documentation, discharge planning, and contributing to clinical training of OTA students.

Qualified candidates hold an Ohio OTA license, an associate degree or equivalent, and have 2 years of relevant experience preferred. A background check and post-offer screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the State of Ohio.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Final candidates subject to background check and potential drug screen/physical.

Responsabilités

• Follows treatment plan for patients per physical prescription and OT directives.
• Provides feedback to OT regarding treatment effectiveness and goal revision.
• Delivers patient and family education.
• Maintains written documentation per policy and procedures.
• Participates in discharge planning and collaboration with OT and other team members.
• Serves as clinical instructor to OTA students and participates in staff education.
• Contributes to departmental performance management efforts.
