Job summary

Deckers Brands in Portland, OR is seeking a Sr Manager, Costing for Apparel & Accessories to lead brand-specific costing, oversee the costing team, and drive long-term strategies that improve margins and support growth.

You will partner with Product, Design, Sourcing and Planning, mentor a growing team, and help streamline costing processes while mitigating inflation across logistics and materials in a hybrid Portland office three days a week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of strategic apparel/accessories costing experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
• Expert knowledge of cost management and product cost drivers
• Proven ability to drive initiatives and lead change
• Demonstrated leadership experience supporting large-scale brands
• 3+ years management experience, including hiring, training, and onboarding team members
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems, FlexPLM or similar platforms
• Strong problem-solving skills and deep product costing expertise

Responsibilities

• Lead brand-specific costing activities, oversee team performance, and develop long-term costing strategies
• Mentor and develop Costing Managers and junior team members
• Manage the costing process in the US, leading reviews with product teams at key seasonal milestones
• Collaborate with Product & Design teams to ensure seasonal targets are achieved
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Sourcing, Planning, and Asia Costing
• Mitigate inflation across logistics, materials, and production costs
• Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports
• Streamline the product costing cycle through process improvements and analytical tools
• Enhance systems and processes to improve costing performance
