Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Cost and Project Accountant I at our Solar Manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, NM. You will own project revenue and cost recognition, manage contract backlog, and support cost accounting for major customer contracts.

Partner with the accounting team, ensure SOX controls, and drive process improvements across inventory, asset and liability accounting. Strong ERP and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cost accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience
• Strong ERP systems knowledge

Responsibilities

• Manage project revenue and cost recognition
• Reconcile inventory and backlog
• Support EAC cycle for revenue recognition
• Set up programs and charge codes
• SOX control documentation and monthly close
