Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to act as the key day-to-day client interface, delivering value-added cost management services across a major data center portfolio in Northern Virginia.

The role is client-facing and based out of our Tysons, VA office, supporting projects across the region’s primary data center corridors. Strong communication and leadership across complex projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6–7 years experience in cost management or related roles on large-scale construction.
• Experience with mission-critical or data center projects preferred.
• Proven ability to manage costs across multi-phase programs.
• Strong cost control, change management and contract administration skills.
• Excellent client-facing and communication abilities.
• Professional certifications (MRICS, PMP, CCP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders across the construction lifecycle.
• Create and present final cost plans.
• Collaborate with design teams and contractors on cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and validate contractor data.
• Prepare cost estimate updates with stakeholders.
• Produce monthly cost reports and support closeout processes.
• Lead cost management activities across large-scale projects.
• Mentor junior team members and promote high performance.
