Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a data center Commercial Cost Manager to oversee budgets, cost plans, and cash flow while managing contractor/vendor accounts and close-out activities. You will support procurement, develop cost strategies, monitor forecasts, and ensure governance and compliance across project documentation.

The role requires strong communication, cost-estimating expertise, and a proactive approach to expand the customer base and drive value across multiple construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and monthly cost reporting.
• Administer contractor and vendor commercial accounts, including valuations, payment applications, change management, claims, and final accounts.
• Support procurement through tender preparation, bid evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
• Develop and maintain project cost plans, benchmarking, value engineering initiatives, and cost optimization strategies.
• Monitor project commitments, risks, accruals, and forecasting to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Prepare financial reporting, lender drawdown documentation, and funding support.
• Maintain commercial governance, audit trails, and compliance with project systems, reporting standards, and document management processes.
• Lead commercial aspects of project close-out, including final account reconciliation, benchmarking, audits, and lessons learned.
