Job summary

Cumming Group in Chicago is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join our cost management and estimating team on a data center construction project.

You will review estimates, lead client relationships, and support contract negotiations while mentoring associates and delivering accurate pricing across all project phases. This full-time role requires 5 to 8 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying and professional accreditation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Cost Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying; professional accreditation preferred (MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of construction costs, estimating methodologies, economics, and local market regulations.
• Ability to deliver accurate pricing and cost management across all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work from project documents.
• Develop and nurture sub-contractor, vendor, and client relationships.
• Lead client accounts and participate in contract negotiation.
• Prepare sub-contractor analysis sheets and evaluate change orders.
• Manage contract administration and support senior management with reporting.
