Job summary

Ivanhoe Electric seeks a Senior Cost Specialist - Program to lead cost management for a major capital project at the Santa Cruz/Casa Grande site. You will oversee cost analysts, align budgets, and contribute to forecasting and risk mitigation on a site-based, on-site role.

The role emphasizes governance, cost planning, and accountability across the program, with direct interaction with the Director of Construction and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, estimating, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant cost management experience in construction/mining.
• Experience leading cost management on major construction projects.
• Knowledge of procurement processes for cost management and earned value forecasting.
• SOX cost reporting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost leadership to cost analysts for multiple projects.
• Develop cost plans and estimates through detailed design milestones.
• Recast program budget into the control budget for forecasting.
• Review critical packages for scope-to-scope alignment and coding.
• Support Change Control Committee processes at the program level.
• Assist in trend/drawdown mitigation and contingency management.
• Ensure timely variance explanations and reconciliations with accounting.
• Lead estimating, cost controls, and change management across the lifecycle.
• Use Earned Value Management methods for forecasting and reporting.
• Prepare cost and incurred flow reports for cash alignment.
