Job summary

Level 10 Construction LP in Sunnyvale, CA, United States is seeking a flexible, detail-oriented Cost Engineer/Junior Estimator to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality estimates for commercial projects.

You will perform takeoffs, develop estimates from drawings and specs, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to support preconstruction activities. The role requires strong communication, accuracy, and deadline-driven work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as Cost Engineer / Junior Estimator in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Civil Engineering preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in estimating software programs used in preconstruction: OST, Destini, Timberline, Building Connected, Assemble, Bluebeam, Power BI, BIM360, Excel, Word, MS Project.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates.
• Assist in developing estimates by evaluating drawings and related documents.
• Assists in providing quantity comparison between estimate revisions.
• Prepares detailed estimate.
• Lead the buyout process and prepare bid packages.
• Directs, coordinates, and provides information to subcontractors.
• Prepare bid tallies for project team and owner review.
• Assists in the review of plans and specifications during schematic design through construction document phases.
