Job summary

VTG in Washington, DC is seeking a Cost Estimator Analyst (mid-senior) to provide specialized financial analysis and cost estimating in support of the CPS Program. The role is onsite at the Washington Navy Yard with occasional telework.

You will develop and review program baselines, create cost estimating techniques, and perform life-cycle cost estimates with risk analyses. You will mentor junior analysts and present results to senior leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, or operations research.
• Master's degree in a relevant field for senior level or 8+ years of demonstrated experience in the task area.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship required.
• Understanding of weapons and/or automated information systems cost drivers and data sources.
• Strong Excel skills and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Word).

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate program baselines and cost estimates.
• Create innovative development, production and O&S cost estimating techniques.
• Develop life-cycle cost estimates with risk and sensitivity analyses.
• Perform economic analyses including cost/benefit and analyses of alternatives.
• Assess credibility of government and industry cost estimates and proposals.
• Document and present analytical results to senior managers.
