Job summary

• Experience in the nuclear energy, power generation, or highly regulated industry (preferred).
• Familiarity with earned value management, risk analysis, and cost-schedule integration. (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Utilize EVMS principles and other project management best practices while supporting project manager and team group leads in the execution of defined scope and deliverables.
• Support month-end Earned Value reporting process.
• Perform cost estimate data analysis in conjunction with project team inputs and trend projections to validate ETC and EAC.
• Obtain accurate pricing information from databases, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors for cost estimates.
• Conduct cost risk analyses and assessments; identify high-risk issues and recommend solutions.
• Regularly update and provide progress reports, layouts, and publication of the master schedule.

Job description

Location: Jackson, MS (Hybrid); required to be on site for the first month of the project and then will move to a hybrid position requiring 1 week on site every month.

Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)

Expenses: GSA expenses $178/day

The Estimator will support the cost tracking, status reporting, performance analysis, forecasting and project baseline change control for corporate capital fleet projects. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in Microsoft Office, and will collaborate with the project manager, project account engineers, group and system leads, as well as other teams and/or individuals and stakeholders. The Estimator will use specialized estimating software and techniques to calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs for nuclear construction.

Responsibilities include:
