Job summary

Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Project Controls Specialist - Cost to lead the cost management framework across projects. You will set up cost baselines, monitor performance, and support project managers with cost and risk analyses.

The role requires expert use of project controls tools, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Onsite and remote hybrid work is available after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Finance or Business Administration and 5 plus years of work-related experience
• High school diploma / Equivalent and 9 plus years of related work experience
• Knowledge of detailed project cost reporting incl. actuals, accruals, ETC, EAC and different contract types (T&M, Unit Price)
• Proficiency with project controls concepts, analytics and cost management systems

Responsibilities

• Establish project cost baseline report at detailed level
• Manage monthly project forecast and risk assessment
• Provide analysis and forecasting of project cost performance
• Assist with forecasting project cost impacts
• Track and manage changes to project scope and cost baseline
