Job summary

Gleeds US is expanding and seeks a Senior/Executive Cost Consultant to join our team in the United States. You will lead cost management efforts on major programmes, coordinate with vendors and clients, and drive value through rigorous estimation and risk assessment.

The role requires a background in construction cost management, strong communication, and experience with cost estimating tools. You will contribute to a global network delivering sustainable, safe, and high-quality projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or related field.
• Experience in client-facing cost management roles in construction.
• Experience supporting program-level cost management for medium to large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
• Strong communication skills and experience with estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals and bid documents, and present recommendations to clients.
• Develop project estimates covering construction, direct costs, and fees; provide value engineering recommendations.
• Prepare and review cost reports, budgets, and forecast spends; maintain risk registers.
• Review payment applications, change orders, and dispute avoidance/resolution processes.
• Support post-contract processes, invoicing, and final accounting.
