Job summary

Space Systems Command at Los Angeles AFB, CA, seeks a Supervisor Cost Analyst (NH-1515-03, GS-12/13). You will supervise civilian and military staff and contractors, manage budgets, and provide decision support for space programs.

A strong math background and leadership experience are essential. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with substantial math coursework and four years of relevant experience at GS-12 or one year at GS-13, with DAWIA Cost Estimating preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or related courses showing substantial math/statistics competence; calculus credit required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civilian and/or military personnel and manage contractor staff providing support to program offices.
• Provide financial management and decision support to Missile Warning & Tracking portfolio programs.
• Lead study teams and develop/ apply models to resolve problems within budget/time constraints.
• Oversee a $9B annual budget and ensure mission readiness per DoD standards.
