Job Overview – Senior Cost Analyst:Compensation: $85,000 – $120,000/year + bonusLocation: Allentown, PASchedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)Our client is hiring a Senior Cost Analyst in Allentown, PA, to drive cost control, inventory analysis, and gross margin improvement for a growing manufacturing company. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead standard costing, analyze variances, support budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with operations to improve financial performance.Responsibilities as the Senior Cost Analyst:

• Cost Modeling: Develop and manage cost models using BOMs, labor rates, routings, and scrap factors in the ERP system.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze standard vs. actual costs, identify margin drivers, and report root causes.
• Inventory Oversight: Lead inventory counts, reconciliation, and adjustments while improving processes.
• Financial Planning: Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close for COGS and gross margin.
• Data & Collaboration: Partner with operations and use Excel/BI tools to analyze trends and support decision-making.

Qualifications for the Senior Cost Analyst:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (MBA preferred).
• Licensure & Certification: CMA or CPA preferred.
• Experience:3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with multi-entity or multi-product line exposure preferred.
• Technical Skills:Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, nested formulas), with experience in ERP systems and BI tools like Power BI or SQL preferred.
• Skills & Attributes:Detail-oriented and analytical, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry Knowledge:Solid understanding of cost accounting, US GAAP, and inventory controls.
