Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a Senior Manager, Cost Accounting in San Jose, CA, to lead cost and inventory accounting, standard costing, and related close processes. You will partner with Operations, Manufacturing, and FP&A to drive accuracy and timely reporting, while supporting audits and policy development.

The role requires deep U.S. GAAP knowledge, strong analytical skills, and 10+ years of progressive experience in cost/inventory accounting within a public company setting.

Qualifications

• Strong cost accounting background with comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and standard costing.
• Experience with manufacturing variances, cost of revenue, and reserves.
• Ability to lead cost accounting close processes and support audits.
• Ability to communicate accounting implications to non-finance partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost and inventory accounting functions including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Own monthly and quarterly close process with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews for cost and inventory updates and prepare audit schedules.
• Support external auditors and annual audit processes related to cost and inventory.
