Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to lead labor absorption rate development and project costing, enabling accurate pricing, billing, and margin analysis.

The role also supports financial reporting, GL activities, and month-end close, ensuring compliance with GAAP and robust operational reporting. Ideal for candidates with 3–5 years in cost accounting and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with an integrated ERP and data entry systems, Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
• Accounting experience with a strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience in project, job, or service-based cost accounting; staffing, professional services, or field services industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and periodically update absorption rates for labor burden and consumables to ensure full cost recovery.
• Perform project accounting, including job cost tracking, unbilled revenue accruals, and profitability reporting.
• Analyze pay rate vs. bill rate spreads and gross margin by customer and project; develop improving reports.
• Reconcile timekeeping, payroll, and billing data to charge costs to correct projects.
• Collaborate with operations to review cost centers and allocations; resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly close including journal entries and GL maintenance.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors and liaise with banks/insurers as needed.
• Assist Controller with financial analysis and process improvements.
