Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to prepare, analyze, and report on project costs, ensuring GAAP compliance and supporting month-end close for the business unit.

You will manage detailed project billings for lump sum and cost-plus engagements and oversee project reporting and audits. The role requires 2–5 years of cost accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; strong analytical abilities and integrity are essential as you work across multiple projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience in cost accounting or similar role.
• Demonstrated work experience in cost accounting and cost analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills.
• Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Performs project setup, change order entry, and maintenance of a project; maintains project files and enters project-related journal entries.
• Prepares and submits detailed monthly project billings for lump sum and cost-plus projects; manages project reporting including CIP reports, lien waivers, and audits.
• Executes month-end closing tasks for the assigned business unit.
• Reconciles and prepares monthly sales reports for the business unit; conducts account reconciliations including suspense and incentive accounts.
• Conducts thorough gross margin analysis to safeguard financial integrity of projects.
