Job summary

Cactus Wellhead in Bossier City, LA is seeking an accounting professional to support monthly close, cost analysis, and inventory reporting. You will analyze variances, prepare gross margin reports, and assist with internal controls in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires a BA in accounting or related field, with 1–2 years of experience; CPA/CMA is preferred. Overtime may be required during month-end closings and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• One to two years related experience or training.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly close activities such as posting journal entries and preparing balance sheet account and sub-ledger reconciliations
• Enter non-rental fixed asset additions and disposals after obtaining appropriate approvals
• Analyze Construction in Progress each month for items to be added to fixed assets
• Execute monthly journal entries to correct and/or amortize cost roll transactions
• Calculate and record inventory obsolescence provision monthly
• Monitor and report on absorption on a monthly basis
• Analyze monthly financials for the Bossier facility and prepare written commentary
• Daily review of journals and reports to analyze variances as they happen
• Reconcile accounts related to Cost of Goods sold and Inventory monthly
• Prepare PBCs for external audit and assist with analysis and explanations
