Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Cost Accountant for a leading wellhead manufacturing company in the Bossier City area. The role focuses on cost accounting, close activities, and cost analysis to support operations.

You will perform monthly closings, analyze variances, prepare gross margin and inventory reports, and manage journal entries, with opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience with general accounting in a manufacturing environment and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly close activities, including posting journal entries and preparing balance sheet account and sub-ledger reconciliations.
• Analyze and communicate cost and manufacturing variances, prepare monthly gross margin and inventory reports, and reconcile accounts related to Cost of Goods Sold and Inventory.
• Calculate inventory obsolescence provisions, monitor absorption, perform freight and tariff analysis, and analyze Construction in Progress and fixed asset additions/disposals.

Compensation: $80,000–$95,000 + 8% bonus
