Job summary

Safran Cabin is seeking a Cost Accountant / Senior Cost Accountant to analyze production costs across all divisions, including materials, labor and overhead. The role supports site leadership and shared services in delivering accurate cost data and recommendations.

The candidate will perform variance analyses, COGS analyses, standard costing, inventory valuation, and period-end closing tasks, while ensuring alignment with BOM/Routings and assisting auditors as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience: 3+ years' experience in an accounting department for a large manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data to determine production costs via variance analysis, COGS, standard costing, overhead and labor rate calculations, and inventory valuation.
• Assist Controllers in preparing financial reports and provide recommendations based on data.
• Perform period end closing activities and journal entries; conduct GL account analysis.
• Prepare audit reports and support internal and external auditors as needed.
• Update ERP with overhead and labor rate calculations; assist in cross-functional training of cost accounting concepts.
