Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Cost Accountant to apply accounting principles to analyze complex cost and manufacturing data, preparing timely financial reports and maintaining cost accounting controls. The role partners with operations, supply chain, and finance leadership to drive cost efficiencies and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities include month-end close support, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and ongoing improvement of cost processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; six+ years experience typical for this role.
• Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting standards; proficiency with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, and report cost accounting information to support management decisions.
• Analyze manufacturing cost drivers and variance analysis.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory analysis.
• Maintain standard costs, BOMs, routings, and overhead rates with operations and finance.
• Prepare financial/operational reports and explain variances to leadership.
