Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification or progress toward certification preferred.
• 5+ years of cost accounting or relevant experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems (Viewpoint, Acumatica) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Monitors cost variances and provides insights to management.
• Oversees inventory accounting, valuation, reserves, and cycle counts.
• Prepares journal entries for cost accounting and inventory.
• Leads month-end close for cost accounting with timeliness and accuracy.
• Reconciles inventory and cost-related GL accounts.
• Partners with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to understand cost drivers.
• Develops cost models to support pricing, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Assists in budgets and forecasts for COGS and inventory.
• Ensures GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Supports internal/external audits with documentation and analysis.
• Assists ERP enhancements related to cost accounting.
