The position requires 5+ years in cost accounting within manufacturing, plus ERP experience (Viewpoint, Acumatica) and advanced Excel skills. Travel is limited; hours align with a 7 AM–5 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting or relevant experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment preferred.
• Travel: 10-15%.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Viewpoint, Acumatica).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and maintains standard costs (materials, labor, overhead).
• Monitors and reports cost variances with actionable insights.
• Oversees inventory accounting (valuation, reserves, cycle count).
• Prepares and reviews cost accounting journal entries.
• Leads month-end close for cost accounting.
• Reconciles cost-related G/L accounts.
• Partners with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to understand cost drivers.
• Develops cost models for pricing, forecasting, and budgeting.
