Jobot is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for its Oklahoma City operation in the energy sector. The role focuses on cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting to support project financial health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s or CPA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the energy industry.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and manage the general ledger and cost accounting operations for projects.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, collaborating with project managers to meet financial goals.
• Forecast financial outcomes for projects, considering risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve reporting.
• Participate in the annual audit process, providing documentation and explanations.
