The Stow Company in Holland, MI is seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant to support manufacturing cost analysis, profitability reporting, and cross-functional partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. The role focuses on analyzing costs, maintaining reconciliations, and driving cost reduction initiatives across Holland, MI and Nampa, ID facilities, reporting to the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years in accounting/finance within manufacturing.
• Experience with standard costing and manufacturing financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, financial reporting, profitability analysis.
• Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting monthly close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SAP or comparable ERP experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Analyze manufacturing costs and performance to identify profitability and efficiency opportunities.
• Prepare monthly cost, margin, and profitability analyses for management.
• Analyze product and customer profitability and communicate findings to Finance and Exec Team.
• Review variances (material, labor, overhead) and research root causes for corrective actions.
• Prepare cost-related GL reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Support month-/quarter-/year-end close with reconciliations and analysis.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain on cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in new product development through cost analysis and financial evaluation.
• Analyze capital expenditure requests and evaluate ROI and financial impact.
• Provide budgeting/forecasting support through cost assumptions and trend analysis.
• Monitor manufacturing KPIs and report significant trends, risks, opportunities.
• Develop financial models and tools to improve decision-making.
