Job summary

The Stow Company, a Holland, MI-based manufacturer of organizational solutions, seeks a Sr. Cost Accountant to strengthen cost analysis, profitability reporting, and business partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. You will analyze manufacturing costs, drive cost improvements, and support new product costing and capital projects.

Reporting to the Sr. Finance Manager, this role supports Holland, MI and Nampa, ID facilities, requiring detailed financial insight, strong Excel and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
3–5 years of accounting or finance experience in manufacturing.
Experience with standard costing and manufacturing financial analysis.
Strong cost accounting, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.
Experience with reconciliations and monthly close.
Advanced Excel; SAP or comparable ERP.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing costs and key drivers to improve profitability and efficiency.
Prepare monthly cost, margin, and profitability analyses for management.
Analyze product and customer profitability and communicate findings to Finance and Executive Team.
Review variances (material, labor, overhead) and research root causes with corrective actions.
Prepare GL reconciliations and assist with month-end close processes.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain on cost-saving opportunities.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analyses.
