Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cost accounting role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standards, and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Problem-solving and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Interpersonal skills with executives, staff, and visitors.
• Experience with POC accounting and government accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and report on costs, identifying variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Inventory Management: Ensure accurate valuation and costing methods, support inventory control and optimize stock levels.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans; analyze cost trends.
• Financial Reporting: Close entries related to cost accounting, reconcile COGS and inventory valuations, ensure accuracy.
• Cost Control Initiatives: Develop and implement cost reduction strategies with management.
• Project Support: Participate in cross-functional projects to improve financial controls and data accuracy.
• Audit & Compliance: Support audits with cost accounting records and analysis.
