Job summary

Meds.com is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our Accounting/Finance team in Elmhurst, IL and Chicago, IL. You will own inventory accounting, standard cost models, and COGS reporting, collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D and Pharmacy Ops to improve unit economics.

You will analyze costs across products, packaging, and logistics, implement cycle counts, and support month-end closes with detailed variance analysis.

Qualifications

5+ years of cost accounting, inventory management, or corporate accounting experience.
Strong US GAAP knowledge related to inventory valuation and COGS.
Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP systems and e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain standard cost models and BOMs for all products.
Perform monthly COGS reconciliations and variance analyses.
Oversee month-end inventory accounting and cycle counts with audits.
Prepare margin analyses by product line and fulfillment route.
Support internal controls over inventory and cost reporting per US GAAP.
