Senior Cost Accountant

Are you an experienced Cost Accountant looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Taneytown, MD, supporting operations with financial analysis, project accounting, and cost reporting.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting
• Perform percentage of completion accounting and project cost reporting
• Process journal entries and run balance sheet reconciliations
• Work closely with Project Managers on project margins and cost analysis
• Conduct standard cost roll processes and data analysis for cost trends
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, POC accounting, and fixed assets
• SAP proficiency is required
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• High level of adaptability and ability to work independently
