Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a Hybrid role in Downers Grove, IL. You’ll link financial insights to manufacturing performance, drive cost analyses, and support cross-functional teams in a growth-focused environment.

You will manage standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory reporting while partnering with operations, engineering, and supply chain to improve costing processes. Strong Excel and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in cost accounting.
• Experience with manufacturing costing, inventory, and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage standard costing, BOM updates, and cost roll processes.
• Lead cost variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and reporting.
• Support monthly close including journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting accuracy, including cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve costing processes and reporting.
