Job summary

Döhler GmbH, a global producer and provider of technology-driven natural ingredients, is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to lead product costing, margin analysis, and cost center spend analyses. This role drives standard costing, SAP-based cost control, and continuous improvement across manufacturing costs.

The position involves month-end close activities, KPI analysis, and collaboration with senior management to optimize profitability and cost efficiency across product lines and regions.

Responsibilities

• Is the lead person overseeing plant Yield results out of Doehler Analytics Hub (DAH) and directing activities to improve our Yield results by production line and/or by product type through the month.
• Perform month-end close activities related to Product Costing.
• Prepares estimates of new and proposes product or services costs.
• Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in a worldwide SAP system. Responsible for Tariff calculations, rates, and annual rolling of cost standards.
• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs; analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
• Analyzing available control KPIs (recognizing trends, deviations between target/actual etc.), proposing additional control KPIs, deriving possible optimization measures and managing their success.
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in a worldwide SAP system.
• Maintain and improve process and controls associated with manufacturing cost and inventory valuation.
• Ensure validity and accuracy of SAP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production, and work order processing.
• Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.
• Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, material re-valuations, and expense information as needed for decision making support.
• Represents Finance/Accounting on teams designed to improve operations, reduce costs, etc.
• Assists in the Annual Audit relating to areas of responsibility.

Job Description

The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for directing activities of product costing, product manufacturing analysis, cost center spend analysis and Contribution Margin analysis. The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for providing recommendations to senior management in support of the achievement of Company goals.

Your Responsibilities

• Is the lead person overseeing plant Yield results out of Doehler Analytics Hub (DAH) and directing activities to improve our Yield results by production line and/or by product type through the month.
• Perform month-end close activities related to Product Costing.
• Prepares estimates of new and proposes product or services costs.
• Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in a worldwide SAP system. Responsible for Tariff calculations, rates, and annual rolling of cost standards. Maintain periodic cost rolls/updates in addition to preparing cost estimates for new products/services.
• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs; analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
• Analyzing available control KPIs (recognizing trends, deviations between target/actual etc.), proposing additional control KPIs, deriving possible optimization measures and managing their success. These KPI's are within DAH and includes but or not exclusive to Yields, OEE%, and production volumes and accuracies.
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in a worldwide SAP system.
• Maintain and improve process and controls associated with manufacturing cost and inventory valuation.
• Ensure validity and accuracy of SAP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production, and work order processing
