Job summary

UGI Utilities, Inc. is seeking a Corrosion Control Tech III in Bethlehem, PA to prevent and mitigate corrosion of underground pipelines. You will install, inspect, and maintain cathodic protection systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate records.

The role requires knowledge of cathodic protection concepts, field operating practices, and data-entry tools, with a path to NACE certification within 5 years, and collaboration with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with basic electrical circuits/theory.
• NACE CP1/Corrosion Technician certs planned within 5 years; CP2/CP Technician goal later.

Responsibilities

• Survey and maintain cathodic protection systems.
• Instruct and guide internal teams and contractors on cathodic protection methods.
• Assist in installation of corrosion control systems.
• Support pipeline integrity assessment activities.
• Design cathodic protection for services and small mains.
• Inspect unprotected services/mains for future protection.
