Job summary

Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. is seeking a mid-level engineer to support corrosion protection, prevention and failure analysis across onshore and offshore energy projects.

The role focuses on electrochemical modeling, design basis documentation, and research of materials and regulations. The candidate will work in a hybrid environment with office and laboratory tasks, travel to offshore facilities as needed, and participate in product development and testing activities.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Chemical or Materials Engineering, or foreign equivalent.
• Requires 4 years' experience with laboratory testing, electrochemistry & corrosion testing, and materials characterization.
• Experience with computational modeling using MATLAB, COMSOL, or IGOR-PRO.

Responsibilities

• Produce, evaluate, and update electrochemical models.
• Calculate and document engineering design basis.
• Solve engineering design problems with research, calculation, and critical thinking.
• Research materials, specifications, and regulations.
• Participate in product development meetings, projects, demonstrations, and testing.
• Produce reports and presentations re: activities, accomplishments, and risks.
