Job summary

The State of Florida Department of Corrections seeks a highly experienced Correctional Services Manager to oversee security operations, staffing, equipment procurement, and program initiatives to support informed leadership decisions. This SES role is based at Central Office in the Bureau of Security Operations and reports to the FDC office serving the assigned area.

Key duties include supervising roster management and security systems operations, planning facility staffing, procuring security

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a shift supervisor or higher within the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) or another correctional agency.
• Experience administering or conducting security audits and operational reviews in a correctional environment.
• Experience with roster management systems, collecting, evaluating and analyzing data and using operational data base systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate the activities of Roster Management and Security systems operations, monitoring audits and reviews; ensure staffing analysis and audits are conducted.
• Plan operational needs including opening/closing facilities, mission changes and staffing requirements.
• Procure security products and equipment; test and evaluate new equipment and provide assessments to leadership.
• Manage Arsenal and Lock and Key databases.
