Job summary

The State of Florida, Department of Corrections, Largo, seeks a CORRECTIONAL PROBATION SUPERVISOR to lead a team of probation officers and senior officers. The incumbent will supervise daily activities, ensure investigations and supervision comply with Florida statutes and departmental procedures, and may oversee small office operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required; internal candidates preferred.
• Ability to apply Florida statutes and department rules in daily work.
• Strong communication and investigative skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise probation officers and senior officers, guiding daily activities.
• Approve investigations, pre-sentence and other court-related reports for accuracy.
• Manage case assignments, field supervision and compliance with procedures.
• Prepare and review performance evaluations and training needs.
• Coordinate liaison with judiciary, prosecutors, and law enforcement.
