Job summary

State of Florida, Department of Corrections in Key West invites applications for a Correctional Probation Senior Officer to supervise a specialized caseload including youthful offenders and various offender types. This is an internal promotion opportunity for current FDC employees.

You will conduct field and office supervision, develop treatment plans, maintain records, and collaborate with local agencies to promote public safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (must have).
• Valid Florida driver's license as a condition of employment.
• Experience in supervision and case management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of probation and corrections processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a specialized caseload including youth offenders, drug offender probation, community controlees, pre-trial intervention offenders, offender releases, or combinations thereof.
• Conducts field and office supervision visits via various contacts to ensure compliance and provide offender assistance.
• Develops and implements structured treatment programs and records management plans for offenders.
• Maintains case records and prepares reports for sentencing and supervision authorities.
• Trains staff and may supervise other correctional probation officers; may act as day-to-day training officer.
