Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide comprehensive patient care in a correctional facility. You will perform nursing duties, administer medications, document in the EHR, and coordinate with the care team under supervision of a regional director of nursing or physician.

Qualifications

Completion of a Board of Nursing accredited program and Texas LVN license (or temporary permit).
At least two years LVN experience in a hospital, clinic or community-based setting.
Ability to work in a correctional facility and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

Provide LVN care including vital signs, wound care, med administration, lab draws.
Coordinate care across interdisciplinary team within a correctional setting.
Document patient encounters in the EHR promptly.
Supervise non-licensed staff and support procedures.
Ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety.
