Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections seeks a transportation and distribution specialist to move materials across the state using a diesel tractor-trailer. You will supervise the Industries Distribution Center staff, provide training, and direct production of BCE products, filling in for other shop roles as needed.

The role requires leadership skills, the ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and compliance with pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and overseeing others (training, coaching, assigning duties).
• Ability to load/unload trailers and trucks with power/manual equipment.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Delivery and installation of products as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials across Wisconsin using a diesel tractor-trailer.
• Supervise skilled and semi-skilled workers; provide training and direction.
• Direct production and BCE products in the Industries center.
• Fill operational vacancies in other industry shops as needed.
