Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a production area or correctional industries operation.
• Two or more years of any work experience; high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises/trains offenders in enterprise-related tasks and equipment maintenance.
• Exercises vigilance to prevent contraband and ensure accountability for materials.
• Reports unusual activities and inspects work-in-progress for quality and efficiency.
• Inspects machines/equipment for proper operation and maintenance.
• Supervises servicing/maintenance/minor repairs of industry equipment.
• Issues, inspects, collects, counts, and locks up hand tools for security.
• Maintains daily work order records for time, materials, and work performed.
• Inspects buildings/work areas for fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Evaluates performance/skills of offender workers.
• Assists in requisitioning materials and estimating costs.
• Participates in training/offender orientation for vocational operations.
