Job summary

SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to supervise US consolidated federal, and consolidated state income tax returns, plus interim and year-end tax provisions.

You will lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, oversee tax filings, evaluate implications of activities, and support audits while driving tax planning and compliance in a fast-paced global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of direct corporate tax experience is required.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience is required.
• Prior international experience or working in a multicultural environment is required.
• CPA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages tax planning, reporting, and compliance functions.
• Manages tax accounting staff, conducts interviews, coaches, trains, and evaluates employees.
• Oversees the preparation of all tax filings and reporting.
• Evaluates tax implications and develops strategies to minimize tax obligations.
• Assists in external federal, state, and local income tax audits.
• Leads Tax Director in projects and ad hoc initiatives.
• Adheres to internal standards and procedures.
• Supervises employees in day-to-day duties.
