This remote role involves preparing tax returns, conducting research, and collaborating with the finance team to identify process improvements. Our Global Tax team serves as a central part in the success of our business. We are seeking a Senior Corporate Tax Analyst, reporting to the Manager of US Income Tax Compliance & Reporting, to assist the team with federal and state tax compliance and reporting.This role will also gain valuable experience as a contributor to LabCorp’s quarterly and annual income tax provisions. As part of the compliance and provision work, this role will include tax research and analysis of tax law, assistance with various state audits, identification of tax savings opportunities, and other special projects.A successful candidate will be able to navigate complex workflows that involve multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships within the tax department and acrossLabcorp.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare workpapers and tax returns for federal, state, and local jurisdictions
Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual global income tax provisions
Calculate quarterly federal and state estimate and extension payments
Assist with tax account reconciliations
Assist with a variety of federal and state tax controversy projects
Conduct technical research and analysis and memorialize within technical memorandums;
Partner with the wider finance organization to understand changes within the business
Work collaboratively with others within and outside of their function to achieve goals and ensure that work is completed accurately and timely
Work with the tax operations team to identify and implement process improvements and automation
Adhere consistently with all LabCorp employment policies and practices
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting with preference for concentration in Tax
2+ years of technical U.S. income tax experience required (Big 4 experience preferred)
CPA strongly preferred
Experience working on large compliance engagements and working with service providers - experience with CorpTax is a plus
Experience implementing process improvements - automation experience utilizing programs such as Alteryx and other workflow programs is a plus
Strong analytical skills
Superb written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range:$59,000.00 - $95,000.00
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am- 5pm Eastern time zone
